EMS Outreach Courses
Sanford Health Center for Prehospital Care and Simulation offers multiple opportunities for continuing education that support individuals seeking recurrent and continuing education.
MONTHLY EDUCATION
Our Monthly Online LIVE EMS Education Program is a convent options for learners to fulfill State and National Registry continuing education requirements. Our LIVE lectures are conducted every Monday evening from 6-8pm CST. Lectures cover a set curriculum presented over a ten month timeline. Participants are able to attend the LIVE lectures from the comfort and convenience of their home or watch recorded lectures when and as needed. The online portal provides learners access to over 70+ hours of continuing education material focused on EMS topics and case based presentations. The subscription based program provides learners access to the online learning portal that tracks coursework on their transcript. All classes presented through our Monthly LIVE EMS Education Program are submitted and approved through CAPCE, South Dakota Department of Rural Health Office of EMS and the South Dakota Board of Medicine and Osteopathic Examiners.
STANDARDIZED COURSES
Standardized courses provide learners with an opportunity to expand their foundational knowledge and skill in EMS. Our office provides various courses authored by organizations like the NAEMT, AHA, AAP, and others. These ancillary courses are offered throughout the year on planned and on demand timelines. Courses are offered in a live in-person or hybrid format. We also offer an outreach program for sites requesting onsite education services in standardized courses. All courses are inclusive of in-person hands-on skills learning and simulation scenarios. For more information on specific courses, contact our office for more details.

SANFORD HEALTH
ANNUAL EMS REFRESHER COURSE
This three day symposium is offered on the campus of Sanford USD Medical Center each year. Faculty presenting at the EMS Refresher are comprised of content experts and clinical staff from Sanford Health or supporting organizations. The three day event offers EMS providers 24+ hours of live lectures and case based learning to fulfill State and National recertification requirements. Participants are able to interact with clinical experts providing information on a variety of clinical and emerging topics and trends.
