Fall Program Start Date

The Fall Start Date is in August encompassing five semesters of coursework.  The lecture sessions are both live in person and televised live for remote students.  Lecture sessions are conducted Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-10p CST.  Live lecture sessions are conducted at the Sanford Stevens Center.  Students are required to attend onsite lab sessions monthly and fulfill the paramedic clinical schedule assigned each semester.  Students successfully completing the STC Sanford Paramedic program will earn an Associates Degree along with eligibility to sit for the NREMT Paramedic cognitive exam.

Spring Program Start Date

The Spring Start date is in January encompassing five semesters of course work. The lecture sessions are conducted as live in person classes at Sanford Stevens Center.  Classes are during the day from 9a-3p two days per week. Students are required to attend onsite lab sessions during weekly coursework and fulfill the paramedic clinical schedule assigned each semester.  Students successfully completing the STC Sanford Paramedic program will earn an Associates Degree along with eligibility to sit for the NREMT Paramedic cognitive exam.

NREMT Paramedics Seeking a Degree

Southeast Technical College will work with currently registered NREMT Paramedics to complete the necessary coursework required a college degree.  Individuals interested in this program should contact the STC Paramedic Program Academic Advisor for more information. 

Associate Degree Program | 62 Credits

Paramedics care for injured or sick people in emergency settings, such as at the scene of an accident, in a home, or in another non-clinical location. They work with 911 dispatchers to respond to emergency calls, perform medical services and transport hurt or ill patients to medical facilities.

NREMT Pass Rate: 80%

Student Retention Rate: 83.3%

Positive Job Placement: 100%
